Rainbows
Rainbows is the part of Guiding designed for 5-7 year old girls and offers the chance to participate in fun activities with new friends. Rainbows are the youngest members of Girlguiding UK.
The Rainbow units in Benton division meet once a week in locations throughout the division and participate in the Rainbow programme, called the Rainbow Roundabout. Activities which Rainbows do include singing, craft, cooking, games and loads of other things including sometimes having the opportunity to take part in a Rainbow sleepover!
There is a whole range of uniform for Rainbows which can be bought from the North Tyneside depot in North Shields, online at Guiding Essentials or other locations the leader will let you know about.
The Rainbow Promise
Rainbows all say a simple promise:I promise that I will do my best to love my God and be kind and helpful.
Useful to know:
- Any girl aged from 5-7 can be a Rainbow in England
- If you would like your daughter to attend a Rainbow unit you will need to get her name on a waiting list as early as possible as some units have waiting lists as long as 3 years! Please contact us to get on the waiting list and find your nearest unit.
